HOW WE GOT STARTED
Fusion City Church was started in June of 2014. Back then, our pastors Jonah Bostian, Brian Duncan, and Quentin Long felt a clear call from God to plant a church in Kannapolis dedicated to teaching the truth of God’s Word to a world lost in darkness. In the fall of 2014 Fusion City held its first gathering at the Kannapolis YMCA.
Where We’re Headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, Fusion City is committed to fostering a family built around the truth of God’s Word, and love for one another. Truth that can pierce the darkness of this world’s deception, combined with the love of Jesus. We are moving forward as a church, and our heart is that a sense of love and unity remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ. Fusion is a place where people are encountering God, finding community, and making a difference.

We believe church is more than a place to attend or a service to watch—it’s a family of faith to belong to. While Sundays matter, what happens beyond Sunday matters just as much. Church is about real relationships, shared life, and growing together through every season.
This kind of community doesn’t just fill a calendar—it shapes how we live, love, and follow Jesus every day. Faith isn’t meant to be lived alone, and neither is life. Here, you’ll find people walking together, supporting one another, and pointing each other toward hope and purpose.

We don’t just offer small groups—we are a church built on them. Connect Groups are the primary way people experience community, grow in their faith, and do life together here.
Each group is centered on Bible study, prayer, and meaningful conversation, while also creating space for accountability, encouragement, and plenty of fun. These groups meet in everyday places and everyday rhythms, because faith is meant to be lived out together—not alone.
Connect Groups are where friendships form, support is found, and spiritual growth happens. It’s not just something we attend—it’s how we belong.

We believe the church works best when it’s clear, intentional, and focused. That’s why we follow a Simple Church model. Instead of filling calendars with endless programs or committees, we streamline what we do so people can focus on what matters most.
Our goal isn’t to keep people busy—it’s to help people grow. By keeping things simple and aligned, we make the main thing the main thing: helping people follow Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and live out their faith in everyday life. To be fully involved at Fusion we only ask you to commit to 3 things: Sunday Worship, Connect Group, Serve Team.
This focused approach allows us to be effective, intentional, and sustainable—creating space for families, rest, and real life, while staying laser-focused on our mission.

Families matter deeply to us, and the next generation is not the church of tomorrow—they are the church today. We believe parents are the primary disciplers of their children, and our role is to come alongside families to equip, encourage, and support them every step of the way.
We create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environments where kids can learn about Jesus on their level, ask questions, and build a strong foundation of faith. For students, we don’t just offer a student ministry—we are a student ministry. Teens are invited to serve, lead, and be part of what God is doing now, not someday.
Our heart is to see kids and students grow in faith, discover their gifts, and actively participate in the life and mission of the church alongside the entire church family.

We’re a modern, authentic church made up of imperfect people following Jesus. No masks. No pretending. No pressure to have it all together. Just real people growing in faith and learning what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.

What do we believe?

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
👉 God the Father
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.

👉 God the Son
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord.

👉 God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race.
Through the temptation of Satan man transgressed the command of God, and fell from his original innocence whereby his posterity inherit a nature and an environment inclined toward sin. Therefore, as soon as they are capable of moral action, they become transgressors and are under condemnation. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God.
The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God's grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Savior.
👉 Justification
God's gracious and full acquittal upon principles of His righteousness of all sinners who repent and believe in Christ. Justification brings the believer unto a relationship of peace and favor with God.
👉 Sanctification
The experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God's purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person's life.
The culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. In such a congregation each Partner is responsible and accountable to Christ as Lord.
Its scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture. The New Testament speaks also of the church as the Body of Christ, which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages, believers from every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.

Fusion Students
We know the teenage years can be hard. Our Fusion Students ministry is just a program that we offer, it is all about building meaningful relationships. We don’t just have a student ministry, we are a student ministry.
